Ghosts of Winter began back in 2006 as a performing original band called "Chime". After deciding to close the revolving door that many successful bands wind up with, the two primaries, Andy Zuckerman and Bill Curd made the decision to do a deep studio dive and call themselves "Ghosts of Winter". And since that time have built a catalog of approximately 80 songs.
Early members included Gary Meadors on drums, Chris Colovas on bass, and over the years other members have been Tony Cortezza, August Zadra (Starship), Robert Sarzo (Hurricane, Queensrych) and collaborations with Dave Buckner (Papa Roach, 3 songs) and with Danny Wilde (Rembrandts - "A Day In The Sun")
Curd, the only original member in the 2026 lineup, says, “hell we have had so many band members, if we were a big name legacy act people would be calling us a tribute band. Isn't that what happened to Journey, Foreignor, INXS and Bad Company? We have had an awesome 20 year run though and it's been a blast".
He goes on, "But i think that this new lineup is the best and strongest the band has had. We have had great players in the past, but never all at one time. I mean, how many bands out there grab an "Outstanding Country Single of The Year" from The Nashville Music Awards after being together for only 4 months? Bringing the band to Texas may have been my smartest move, at least it's starting out that way."
Andy Zuckerman still participates when possible, but it's rare. With Todd Sullivan (guitars and backing vocals), Jude Neman (bass, lead and backing vocals), Greg Whitfield (drums), Randy LeBlanc (guitars and of course, Curd himself (guitars, lead and backing vocals); "Ghosts of Winter", is still moving forward. Recording, Performing and keeping that bright light over a 20 year old foundation that quite simply, "ain't gonna fade".
